Much like the city, the company started off small and has grown immensely over time. Originally known as Barcelona Design, a small web design firm, it evolved into Barcelona Marketing and Design, catering for the advertising needs of small business until it eventually grew into the all-encompassing public relations and event management entity now known as Barcelona Enterprises.

THE WAY OF THE FUTURE - STRATEGY

Barcelona’s approach is based on an organic model of interconnections. Full use is made of traditional and new media to expand both its clients’ market presence and its own. In effect, Barcelona is not a company in the conventional sense as much as it is a network of like-minded individuals and satellite organizations. Barcelona understands the ever-increasing influence of the digital realm on the way we relate to each other and to the world around us, creating high-end websites that actively engage the user to explore the information presented and feel like they belong to a larger whole.

Barcelona is all about a sense of community. From its approach to advertising to its management of events, Barcelona aims to create an ethos of shared experience and participation that informs and entertains.

THE KEY TO SUCCESS - PEOPLE

At the centre of this network sits CEO, Alan Semsar, his approach is one of total immersion in the project at hand, taking a personal interest in the satisfaction of all parties involved in any given campaign or event, be it the client, staff, affiliates or sponsors. A long time resident of Los Angeles, Semsar believes in the power of people, but also advocates our responsibility to each other. He is tirelessly engaged in philanthropic causes and has added many very successful charity fundraiser events to the company’s portfolio. He sits on the board of the Blazers Youth Organization and is a Los Angeles Police Department Booster Member.

The other two of members Barcelona’s inner trinity are Director of Design and PR Consultant, Michael Tsimnadis. They share the responsibility of developing Barcelona’s marketing, advertising and event concepts into tangible solutions that inspire participation.
